Description

Offers spectacular shades of red foliage throughout the growing season. Its leaves emerge bright, cherry red, mature to burgundy red and turn crimson red in the fall. The leaves’ textured, lacy look make them highly prized in the garden. This compact, slow-growing tree can be grown in containers or in shade and woodland gardens. Planting Instructions:Plant at the same soil level as it is in its pot. Avoid planting in windy areas if possible.
Winter Care:Water the tree well before the ground freezes. Lay about 3″ of mulch down around the base of the tree to protect the root system. If cold winds are a problem, wrap the sapling in some type of insulation for the winter (like burlap) and tie it up. Use a stake to keep everything in place as necessary.
