Arisaema Propinquum rears up from the shady garden floor like a viper ready to strike, flaring its brilliantly striped and mottled bract like a cobra’s hood.

The deep purple spathe is lined and webbed in contrasting white, elongating to a thin, whip-like tendril. Now, you might suspect these plants to be carnivorous based on appearance alone, but Cobra Lilies actually lure flies and bees for pollination – not for food. An unusual bloomer perfect for protected areas, such as beneath a canopy of tri-lobed foliage and regions with cool summers. Enj!
