Erythronium Japonicum bears nodding lilac-purple flowers with dramatically swept-back petals and striking mottled foliage from late spring to early summer. The graceful blossoms appear one per stem, and if you look closely, you’ll notice intricate, dark purple markings in the throat and long, purple-tipped white anthers. Hardy in a wide range of climates, these breathtaking Trout Lilies thrive with minimal care in partial sun to dappled shade and are ideal woodland naturalizers.
