Fritillaria Persica Plum Bells is one of those unfamiliar plants with a tendency to mystify even well-versed gardeners. A native of southern Turkey, Cyprus, and Syria, this botanical beauty yields towering stalks filled with dozens of exquisitely shaped plum to mahogany purple flowers. Given its statuesque nature, we recommend planting at the back of the garden or along fences.

Hardy in zone 5 to 8 and unbothered by deer, the flower stalks are incredibly long-lived, retaining their initial glory for several weeks in the spring. Oh, and we can’t forget about the folia! It’s absolutely breathtaking with a unique bluish cast that’s eye-catching and elegant. Enj!
