Perennial Geranium Bare Root Plants for Sale | Amy Doncaster

Eager to get a jump on the season, Amy Doncaster is one of the very first hardy Geraniums to burst into bloom. Low, wide mounds of lacy green foliage are generously dotted with quarter-size deep blue flowers starting in early spring. Flaunting the most true blue color of all Cranesbills, each vibrant blossom is marked with a striking white eye.

This perennial plant is a glorious addition to the woodland garden and is reliably tolerant of pesky insects and critters. Hardy Geraniums are happiest in sites that receive full to partial sun and prefer soil that offers some moisture – they will not survive in sandy spots. Cut the plants back by half after the first round of flowers have passed to encourage a second flush later in the season. Enj!
