Also known as Amomum subulatum, this plant is an intriguing member of the Ginger family, producing wide, lush tropical leaves and charming flowers that range from ivory to yellow and even pink. However, the real magic begins after the blooms have finished their show.

The spent flowers give rise to seed pods that, when mature, can be cracked open to reveal Black Cardamom or Nepal Cardamom. These seeds are prevalent in Indian cuisine, but are lovely additions to a wide array of dishes.
