Also called widow’s tears, Amethyst Kiss™ Tradescantia provides gratifying texture alongside precious periwinkle blue flowers with bright yellow stamens. This spiderwort is the longest-blooming Tradescantia known to gardeners, flowering from early summer through fall and holding its blooms well after other perennials. A true herbaceous perennial, Amethyst Kiss Tradescantia has an upright, but wide-spreading habit. Strappy, nearly grass-like foliage gives excellent texture to the landscape, and provides a pleasant contrast to the foliage of bushy perennials or broadleaf shrubs.
