War Chief is a red reblooming bearded iris that absolutely glows in the sunlight. It¡¯s rare to find a red colorfast Iris that won¡¯t fade in full sun, but Iris War Chief meets the challenge head on, firing up every garden where it¡¯s planted. During spring and fall War Chief¡¯s deep burgundy petals with striking indigo veins and a bright yellow beard set your garden afla!

Our iris are grown on a family farm in Bakersfield, California. Each summer we dig up the large, fist-sized iris rhizomes, trim their 20 inch roots, inspect them, and send only the best to you. Plants are primed to hit the ground running with 4-5 flowering stems per Iris bulb.?
