Bred by famed grower Barry Fretwell, Amanda Marie is a true red summer Clematis ready to charm visitors to your garden. In some environments, Amanda Marie has been known for lovely variegated foliage. Abundantly summer flowering, bright red blooms on a charming plant mingle nicely among shrubbery or share vertical space on an arch. Each flower features four or five sepals for a lovely pinwheel shape perfect for whimsical summer fun.
A true summer Clem, Amanda Marie can be trimmed back to about one-third of its height when flowers become smaller or fewer. Provided it has adequate water, the plant should provide you with a second crop of bright flowers. Clematis ‘Amanda Marie’
