A gorgeous new hybrid from J. Van Zoest nurseries, Clematis Lucky Charm is a hard-to-find variety that packs a pastel punch with medium-sized, wide-eyed flowers. Lucky Charm’s silky white blooms open to two to three inches wide. A flower with striking contrast, this clem’s flowers display a hand-brushed look, with lavender edging and dazzling yellow centers. Alongside this clematis’ wide sepals, oblong leaves shine in green with notes of burgundy.
Be sure to plant Lucky Charm in a sunny spot, where its conspicuous display of color will be even more noticeable. An arch or pergola is a perfect location, or plant Lucky Charm in a large container with a trellis. Try pairing it with deeply colored clematis for contrast.
Visitors to your garden will be truly charmed by this clematis, and you’ll love its easy pruning needs and vigorous flowering habit. Lucky Charm practically trains itself when provided with appropriate support. This clematis is extremely remontant, just provide a mid season trim and you’ll enjoy an abundance of late-season flowers. Clematis ‘ZOO9067’ PPAF
