Let this Clematis plant sprawl like a field of daisies over split rail fencing, patio enclosures, or a retaining wall. This colossal Clematis plant produces an abundance of flowers all season long. An ideal landscape clem, Summer Snow blooms from June up to autumn, with vigorous, dark green foliage that is impervious to hot weather. Set off from the glossy green leaves are small, upward-facing flowers in bright white with creamy white and yellow centers. The flowers produce a sweet, late-summer scent in warm weather, sure to delight the senses into fall.

Lovers of Sweet Autumn Clematis will appreciate this non-invasive alternative. Summer Snow is sterile and does not set, so it doesn’t spread invasively or produce vexing volunteer seedlings across the landscape. The individual flowers, which bloom en masse, are slightly larger than Sweet Autumn, and bloom longer. Summer Snow is a superior performer and better-behaved as well.
