Description

The large flowers on this striking azalea are brilliant in color, elegantly frilled, and their subtle fragrance will delight any passers-by including pollinators. Protect it from strong wind, and it’s excellent for privacy and screening, growing to a mature height of 4-6′. It also makes a welcome addition to woodland gardens or borders, where it will add a fiery pop of color. It will thrive in full sun to part shade but be sure it’s protected from hot afternoon sun in warmer climates. Gibraltar Azalea won Rhododendron of the Year from the American Rhododendron Society on 2007 and has also won an Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society.
