Victoire de la Marne was named after the First Battle of the Marne in the First World War, which occurred shortly before this vibrant Peony was hybridized. Her beautiful blossoms appear in late Spring and showcase double rose form blooms with a deep aroma. The petals are splashed with bold magenta and mature to deep pink.

Although Peony Victoire de la Marne is a relatively low-maintenance perennial, she performs best when supported in the garden as the blooms reach up to 3′ tall. Place Peony cages when planting to ensure the blooms stand tall.

This Peony is proof that wonderful things take time – She’s not a fast grower, but will last a long time and could continue producing gorgeous blooms for up to 50 yea! Deer resistant.
