Also known as ‘Royal Heritage’ Hellebores, these plants are grown at the home of their distinguished breeder in North Carolina. Superior Southern is a hybridized collection in a wide variety of colors and tones from white to pink, purple, nearly black and more.. With lots of different colors and some variety in form, these hellebores are sure to surprise and enchant each year.

While Superior Southern performs better than other hellebore in heat and humidity, they do require some shade. This variety grows well in the Carolinas, Tennessee, and Georgia, as well as the Midwest. Bloom times are quite variable, but the wintertime performance is outstanding. Hellebores take a few years to become established, and do not perform well when transplanted. If possible, plant your Lenten Roses, let them be, and enjoy. Hellebores x hybrids
